CONCERTO SOLOIST

Championing contemporary
percussion concerti

"One of the most promising and committed soloists of his generation.Michael Daugherty, composer

Peter Ferry is a contemporary percussion soloist specializing in performances with orchestra, percussion ensemble, and chamber orchestra.

His concerto appearances have included collaborations with the Chicago Philharmonic, Mobile Symphony Orchestra, and orchestras and festivals throughout the United States and internationally, performing works by Michael Daugherty, Elliot Cole, Jacob ter Veldhuis, Michael Torke, Dave Maric, Emmanuel Séjourné, and others.

Equally at home in traditional concert settings and interdisciplinary forms, Ferry frequently collaborates with composers, conductors, and ensembles to develop new approaches to percussion-centered orchestral performances.

"With deep musicianship and artistry, passion and commitment to live concert projects, and superlative organizational skills, Peter would be an ideal partner in any musical collaboration."

Jerry Hou, conductor (Rice University, Wyoming Symphony, New York Philharmonic)
